ARTVERONA 2024
Stefano Malinverno is pleased to announce its participation to ARTVERONA 2024. On this occasion we are glad to present a selection of works from the series “Tag um Tag guter Tag” by German artist Peter Dreher. From 1974 to 2019, the artist painted the same empty glass every day, portraying it at different times of the day and night, on canvases of the same size. By choosing to constantly repeat the same subject, Dreher challenged the core idea of painting, testing its limits. The works, that are set up in sequence, demonstrate the artist’s great sensitivity to detail.
The booth will explore the theme of Still Life through a compelling dialogue between Peter Dreher’s works and those of a diverse group of international artists, each offering a unique interpretation of this timeless genre. The presentation features William Bailey’s meticulous, meditative compositions, Mary Bauermeister’s layered and evocative creations, and Lawrence Carroll’s minimalist yet deeply poetic works.
Italian sculptor Alik Cavaliere adds a dynamic, three-dimensional perspective to the theme, while John Latham’s conceptual pieces challenge traditional notions of still life. The vibrant experiments of Germano Olivotto and the meticulous constructions of Pavlos bring unexpected materiality into the conversation.
