ARTVERONA 2023
Stefano Malinverno is pleased to announce its participation to ARTVERONA 2023. On this occasion we are glad to present a selection of works by Fritz Bultman, Mary Bauermeister, Tony Berlant, Giorgio Cavallon, Ray Johnson, Robert Natkin, Larry Poons, Larry Rivers, Angelo Savelli, Richard Stankiewicz and Ray Parker, many of whom are intrinsically linked to the dynamic and influential New York art scene.
Among the notable works on display are a lens box by Mary Bauermeister, an artist often associated with Fluxus and celebrated for her intricate, layered compositions, and a cube by Tony Berlant, renowned for his masterful collages crafted from found materials.
The presentation also includes a small untitled painting by Giorgio Cavallon, an early member of the New York School, whose lyrical abstraction exemplifies the profound artistic dialogues of mid-century Manhattan. Ray Johnson, a trailblazer whose unconventional practices became a cornerstone of New York’s conceptual art scene, is also represented, alongside a vibrant and textured canvas by Robert Natkin, a leading voice in color abstraction.
Highlighting the collection is a piece by Angelo Savelli, an artist celebrated for his mastery of white as a profound artistic medium, that is placed in dialogue with a sculpture by Mirko Basaldella.
A sculpture by Richard Stankiewicz, known for his inventive use of found objects to create striking, expressive assemblages, adds a compelling three-dimensional element to the booth.
Finally, the selection includes a painting by Ray Parker, known for his “simple paintings” that seamlessly bridge Abstract Expressionism and Color Field painting, as well as contributions from many other artists who have profoundly shaped—and been shaped by—the cultural and artistic dynamism of New York.
